Antonia Lofaso

Antonia's Lofaso invites you explore her inner world through the cuisine she creates. She began to be interested in food and cooking after moving from suburban Long Island to the diverse cultural landscape in Los Angeles. Cavatelli and Carnitas have the ability to live in harmony in the menus, an idea that has developed in the course of many years. With every dish she serves, she has a vision which is distinctive and expresses nostalgia for the past. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso who was influenced with her Italian American tradition. The restaurant was greeted with a warm welcome. Lofaso's traditional Italian interpretation is considered one among Los Angeles' most captivating dining establishments. Lofaso's food is consistently authentic, inviting and undeniably pleasing. Lofaso studied under the best chefs to master their methods. However, she was not afraid to take bold decisions in order to honour her instincts. She quickly rose through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago and went on to transform various high-profile kitchens of Los Angeles while working closely with many high-profile celebrities. Lofaso as well as Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to launch Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. The bar was eventually able to get a place within Black Market as well as the alliances she created. The partnership would allow for creativity and freedom Lofaso longed for. Black Market's goal is not to be restricted in any way. The menu could start with chips of dill potato, shishito chilies and then move on to the Korean chicken dish, meatballs and wings. What binds this diverse variety of tastes is Antonia. Lofaso evaluated her career success by her capacity to both understand and be authentic to her audiences. In the course of her career, both Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her capacity to be herself outside the cooking environment. Since then she's maintained her work in front of cameras, including judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge as well as regular appearances on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso has teamed up in partnership with Penguin Publishing to create The Busy Mother's Cookbook - 100 Recipes of easy, Delicious, Home Cooked Meals. In this book, she discusses her experience as a mom and pupil in her school, the French Culinary Institute. Lofaso believes that all her success is due to her passion of cooking and she is able to keep a finger on the pulse of this field by staying on the kitchen. Chefletics transforms the appearance of chef wear with its focus on design and function. Lofaso's main concern is staying true to her vision. To achieve this goal she created Antonia Lofaso Catering. This gives customers the most personal service.
