Jill Hennessy
The native from Edmonton, Alberta has a multi-generational ancestry that includes Irish, Italian, Swedish, French and Ukranian. Jacqueline's sister is an actor too. Jill learned to speak various languages, like Italian, French, Spanish in her early years of growing to. As she was 12 years old older, Jill began her journey into performing. She began her acting career in Toronto in the role of an escort for David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her younger sister. Then she studied improv comedy at Second City with Deb Kimmet. After a few years, she went in New York and signed a deal to portray an Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the long running hit series, Law & Order. She also worked in films such as RoboCop 3 (1998), Ron Howard's The Paper (2000) and I Shot Andy Warhol 1996) during her three-year run. For the next few years she became a part of a number of forgettable movies and in 1999, she was cast as a lead in the miniseries uremberg with Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York, Exit Wounds and other major projects were scheduled to come. She landed a lead role in NBC's crime series Crossing Jordan. And in 2007, in recognition of her contributions to the series she was awarded a Gracie Allen as the "Outstanding Female Leading in a Drama Series". In 2000, she got married to the actor who played her Paolo Mastropietro. The couple have two children. She was honored in 2007 with the honor of being in Canada's Walk of Fame.
